The town sits within the greater Victoria Falls National Park, with Zambezi National Park just upstream. Elephant, buffalo and antelope such as impala, kudu and waterbuck roam freely through this extraordinary setting.

The mighty Zambezi River provides the backdrop for everything from serene sunset cruises to exhilarating adventures through Batoka Gorge. The vibrant town center is home to local craft markets, galleries, restaurants and the charming Elephant's Walk shopping village.

Elephant Encounter

This approximately 2.5- to 3-hour experience offers a rare opportunity to quietly observe some of Africa's most charismatic wildlife in a pristine wilderness setting. The experience begins in an open-air thatch boma overlooking the Masuwe River, where you will learn about the sanctuary's work in rehabilitation, conservation and education.

You will then venture into the bush to spend time near the elephants, observing their individual personalities and interaction with their dedicated handlers. Take photographs, marvel at their size and watch them browse, communicate and behave naturally. Refreshments are served before your transfer back to the hotel.

Walk through the lush rainforest surrounding one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Your private guide will share the history of Victoria Falls while introducing the unique flora, fauna and birdlife of the area. Scenic paths along the ravine reveal a series of breathtaking viewpoints, and your guide will be happy to help capture photographs along the way.

Towering columns of spray rise from the Zambezi River while the thunderous roar of falling water reverberates through the gorge below. The Falls plunge between 90 and 107 meters into the Zambezi Gorge. Preserved in its natural state as a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls remains as captivating today as it was to explorers more than a century ago.

The Boma Drum & Dinner Show

Spend the evening immersed in Zimbabwean song, dance, food and cultural interaction. A four-course dinner includes starters, campfire soup, a generous barbecue buffet, salads and desserts, with choices for adventurous diners as well as familiar beef, pork, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections.

Guests are welcomed with a traditional greeting in Shona and Ndebele. After dinner, meet the restaurant's Sangoma storyteller to learn about local folklore, culture and heritage. The evening culminates in an energetic interactive drumming and dancing experience.
